The physical, occupational and speech therapy Care Partners devote their efforts toward achieving optimal function for every patient. They specialize in the treatment of neurologic and musculoskeletal disorders including pre- and postoperative care programs. Each patient’s injury is unique and requires individualized assessment and treatment, within the program's continuum of care, rehabilitation plays an extensive role.
Our evidence-based, patient-centric programs are designed not only to eliminate the deficits of an acute or chronic condition, injury or musculoskeletal problem, but prevent it from returning. At Parrish Healthcare's rehabilitation service locations, our priority is to design, implement and manage a care plan together with you and your primary care physician that will maximize the success of your recovery, promote independence and enhance your quality of life.
Physical therapy treatments work to help you restore movement, reduce pain and improve your overall functionality. Our specialists utilize a variety of techniques to achieve these goals including:
Occupational therapists help patients live as independently as possible following a serious injury, illness or surgery. Our occupational therapists will evaluate a patient’s everyday needs and then design a plan to help patients live more independently and utilize compensatory strategies when needed. If adaptive equipment is needed, the occupational therapist will make recommendations on the types of equipment and how to utilize it.
Speech therapists, also known as speech language pathologists, are trained to assess, diagnose and treat communication disorders, as well as swallowing disorders. Speech therapy services can also address memory, safety and sequencing tasks, which can be important for patients recovering from an injury or surgery.
We offer physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy services at the following locations:
